I work from an attachment, strength-based perspective as I assist teens and adults with a variety of challenges including depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and relationships. Often the story we tell ourselves about the world profoundly impacts how we think, feel, and behave and taking a closer look at these stories can help us heal. I utilize different therapeutic practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
As a therapist certified in perinatal care (PMH-C), I understand the unique challenges and emotions that accompany the journey to parenthood. From the anticipation of pregnancy to the joys and uncertainties of childbirth and postpartum adjustment, I provide a safe and nurturing space for individuals to explore their feelings, fears, and hopes. My approach is holistic, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and relational health during the perinatal period. Through a collaborative and nonjudgmental therapeutic process, I empower clients to cultivate self-awareness and strengthen coping skills.
Additionally I have insight into the unique stressors experienced by military and first responder families and their therapeutic needs.
Here are some additional details about my approach to therapy:
I create a safe and supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.
I help you identify your strengths and resources.
I work with you to develop coping skills and strategies for managing your challenges.
I help you challenge the negative stories you tell yourself about yourself and the world.
I help you build healthier relationships.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. We work together to create a plan that is right for you. I'm here to support you on your journey to healing.
